Providing comprehensive eye care to the Westchester community for over twenty years has been very rewarding. My approach has always been to get to know my patients, learn about their specific needs, and address those needs with any combination of spectacles, contact lenses or laser vision correction indicated. I especially enjoy fitting first time contact lens wearers whether it’s a teenager or an adult who hasn’t tried them in years. New contact lens technology allows almost anyone a chance for success. Disposable soft contact lenses are now available for spherical, astigmatic, or presbyopic patients; whether you desire an occasional lens wear option or for everyday. I take the extra steps to make sure monovision; multifocal or rigid gas permeable fine tunings produce your ultimate visual acuity. I enjoy the challenge of a previously unsuccessful contact lens wearer. I am excited to offer scleral contact lens fittings for irregular corneas due to keratoconus, corneal transplants and severe dry eyes.
Being a Therapeutic Optometrist allows me to evaluate eye health via a dilated exam to screen for conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes and hypertension. Employing digital retinal photography without dilation as part of a comprehensive exam allows me to document retinal eye health year after year. Additionally, I am able to diagnose and treat medical conditions such as conjunctivitis, dry eyes, allergy and blepharitis. Also addressed during the exam are functional issues such as eye strain and headaches commonly associated with working on the computer. I take pride in the fact that many of New York’s finest Ophthalmologists refer their contact lens patients to see me. I can help you view the world in a whole new way.
